The Bible says that children are God’s heritage and gifts from God. With that in mind, Lady Apostle Queensley Effiom, the founder of Revival Recovery Ministries sent her team to visit a home housing children who unfortunately are without parents. Thus, the team set out on that rainy evening to bless the children of the Foundation Maroon orphanage located at Urua Ekpa in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State as the Lord instructed.
The Revival Recovery Ministries team members visited Foundation Maroon orphanage to show love to the less privileged in accordance with the word of God in the book of James 1: 27, which says, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world”.
The team interacted with the children who are of different ages and presented their tokens of love. These tokens included toiletries, snacks, drinks and foodstuffs. In appreciation, the children who were already familiar with the team members from the Nongovernmental organization, Revival Recovery Ministries, held a worship session in thanksgiving to God who impressed upon the team to visit them. They also showered blessings on the team members and their benefactor, Lady Apostle Queensley Effiom whom the Lord had used to bless them.
In his words, the eldest child at the orphanage said, “we are grateful to our mother, Lady Apostle Queensley Effiom who has always visited or sent help to us all the time. We do not have anything to give her but to thank and pray for her for more blessings so that she can always come back to bless us. God bless her and give her more, Amen.”
Lady Apostle Queensley Effiom also commented that she is reaching out to these children because that is the mission and vision God gave her. She said, “God has given me a purpose and mission on earth. This mission is to help those who need help, provide for those who do not have and reach out to children who are without parents. All I can do is to allow God use me to fulfill this purpose”
